CBS News Magazine show “60 Minutes” aired a segment with Captain Paul Watson, whom many of us know as a hero to the whales, and whose work is known to the world thanks to the Animal Planet series “Whale Wars.”  Watson, the founder of Sea Shepherd (http://SeaShepherd.org ) is currently in hiding, sought by the Japanese government for efforts against whaling and that of Costa Rica for his interference with a shark finning vessel.  It is therefore a pleasure to catch up with him via this interview. The segment is titled, “Return of the Humpbacks.” You can watch it on line at:

Also on that site is a two minute segment that didn’t make it into the story, but that you shouldn’t miss, Captain Paul’s “Story of a Dying Whale.” It’s at http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50157530n

You can add for your voice to the comment section below the story on the website — it’s great for CBS to see loads of interest in the story.
Or you can drop a direct thank-you note straight to the show via the “feedback” page at
