UK circus ban – help close loophole in the law

November 1, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

There is a Government bill coming on wild animals in circuses. If the UK bans, the world will follow. However, although we are pleased that the government has committed to prohibiting all wild animal species – which was under threat – we remain concerned that the bill only applies to the “use” of wild animals, meaning that circuses may continue to travel with their animals after the ban. We will be working hard to ensure that this loophole is tightened up.
