Zoos: what really goes on behind closed doors

November 24, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

Zoos portray themeselves as centres of education and conservation, who treat the animals they keep with respect and kindness.

From CAPS’ investigations and research, the reality seems far from it. In the past two weeks alone, zoos in the UK have repeatedly been exposed for practices which fail the animals in their care, including the inbreeding of lionslinks to canned hunting in Africacontinued dealings with circus animal trainers and even vivisection (animal testing).

This is what the zoos do not want you to know.
This is what we will continue to investigate and expose

Animals in zoos are treated as commodities as a matter of course – the fact that zoos are also connected to other animal exploitation industries such as hunting and vivisection, adds an altogether more sinister dimension to the whole issue and reveals an even sadder situation for the animals they keep.

The truth about zoos must be made public! Will you help make this happen, by donating to our research and investigation work today?

Please share these stories far and wide with your friends and family. With your help, we continue to make steps towards a world without cages.
