1,861 badgers dead — for nothing. Act now!

December 5, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

This government’s badger cull policy has been nothing more than a fiasco, from start to finish.

Nearly 2,000 badgers have been killed, millions of pounds have been spent, and communities have been divided. And all for nothing.

Now MPs will get the chance to debate the issue in parliament next Wednesday 11 December. Please take action right now and urge your MP to attend the debate and speak out against badger culling.

The killing in Somerset and Gloucestershire may have ended for this year but, unbelievably, the government is still considering rolling-out the policy of slaughtering badgers in up to 10 new areas of England next year.

The cull has been a disaster. The government needs to cancel its killing plans once and for all and focus on improving cattle welfare, controlling cattle movements, increasing biosecurity, and developing badger and cattle vaccination.

Write your MP today. Tell him/her you care about badgers -– and urge their attendance at the debate in Westminster Hall at the House of Commons next Wednesday.
