Potholes Create Boom In Wheel Repair Business

At least someone is gaining from weather and zero local authority funding. What ever happened to our road tax money?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – All of the damage caused by potholes means big business for some.

For William Vitelli, it’s been a few years — or actually a few decades — since he’s seen anything like this.

“This is a busy season for us, we haven’t seen a season like this since 1994.”

Vitelli owns B.C.A Hubcaps & Wheel Co. in Northeast Philadelphia, “(we) specialize in hubcaps, wheels, wheel reconditioning, repairing wheels.”

He not only serves local customers and area shops with his thousands of hubcaps and wheels in stock, but nationally as well through online sales.

“The East coast and even the West Coast – we’re doing business all over the country because of the bad weather.”

This may mean a better bottom line for Vitelli but he, like others, can’t wait for those potholes to be filled and the snow to go away.
