Legalising hunting by the back door?

The Prime Minister announced recently that the government is considering amending the Act, in a way which could seriously jeopardise this valuable, and successful, piece of wildlife protection legislation.

Please ask your MP to vote against any amendment to the Hunting Act.

Any move to lift the restriction on the number of dogs (currently 2) allowed to be used to flush wild mammals to guns would remove essential elements of the Act, undermining it and rendering it toothless.

Such weakening of the ban would be nothing more than an underhand attempt to effectively legalise the horror of wild mammals being chased and torn apart by packs of dogs once more.
