Thailands illegal meat trade

December 2, 2014 Leave a comment Go to comments

The illegal dog meat trade in Thailand is horrific. Dogs — not just strays and homeless animals, but even kidnapped family pets — are subject to cruel transport, torture and then they are butchered. This bloody industry believes that when these poor animals suffer, their bodies release adrenaline that softens their meat.

We need to end this awful slaughter.

Smugglers and dog traders boast that the industry is worth $30 million, but animal suffering shouldn’t be weighed against the monetary value of a brutal black market trade. Join together with Soi Dog and write to General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the Prime Minister of Thailand. Together, we can save thousands of dogs from cruel and needless deaths!
