PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The PSPCA says it rescued 62 small dogs and puppies from a residence with unsanitary conditions in Lancaster County late Tuesday afternoon.

The PSPCA says some of the dogs were also living with untreated medical conditions.

Pennsylvania’s Office of Dog Law Enforcement tipped off the PSPCA about the residence and officers executed a search warrant at the home in Lititz, Pa.

Once inside, they found the dogs scattered in the house, garage and in vehicles.

The pups were assessed on the scene by medical staff and taken to PSPCA headquarters in Philadelphia for further evaluation.

The owner has given up all of the dogs to the PSPCA, which can now prepare the dogs to be put up for adoption.
