Today marks the ten year anniversary since the UN’s seminal report ‘Livestock’s Long Shadow’ came out, which found that at least 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to the animal farming sector: more than all transport combined. Even though the dangerous implications of animal agriculture were firmly laid out ten years ago, we’re still finding silly ways to get around the issue – like ‘cow-fart-backpacks’ – rather than working towards a vegan world.
