Climate March

Despite all of the bad news coming out of Washington recently, I’m still optimistic about our future thanks to the incredible up swell in civic engagement we’ve been seeing. People who have never called their legislators are picking up the phones to defend science. People who have never marched are joining their communities en masse to speak out against dangerous new policies, defend the progress we’ve made on public health and environmental protections, and push for a healthy planet and safer world. Later this month, we’ll see a week of action, kicking off with the March for Science on April 22 and ending with the Peoples Climate March on April 29. As our friends at the Peoples Climate Movement say, “to change everything, takes everyone.” Whether at an event near you or in Washington DC, I hope you are ready to stand up for science, justice, and our democracy itself.
